Carbon Credits Encouraging Burning Up Forests!
Unfortunately, the rules in the Kyoto Treaty, Euro laws and
the House-passed climate bill (but not the Senante one), gives an incentive
to burning up forests. Already Northern Europe power plants are chipping
up wood for biofuel. The alternative is a consumption-based
badness tax that looks at all factors from conventional pollution,
to deforestation, to carbon dioxide emmissions to how they treat labor
As it is participatory democracy-based on
sortition juries, it is nimble enough to respond
quickly to these findings.
